PROFESSOR CHRIS LISCIANDRO'S TOURNAMENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS

For over 30 years, Chris Lisciandro has been practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The California native who was born in Santa Monica and raised in Sherman Oaks, started practicing martial arts as a young child and took his first boxing lesson at the age of 12. Always looking for a new challenge, Chris took up Brazilian Jiu-jitsu in 1996, training under the renowned coral-belt, 7th Degree Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Martial Artist, Renato Magno from Sao Paul, Brazil. During his training and competitive years, Chris earned numerous championships, many of which are listed down below. In 2005, Chris received his black belt from the hands of his direct professor, Master Renato Magno. Chris is now estimated to be one of less than 300 5th degree bjj black belts still active world wide. Professor Lisciandro is fortunate to have also trained with Helio Gracie before he passed away.
Chris opened his own academy in Sherman Oaks and imparts his love of the sport by providing expert training to adults and kids of various backgrounds and occupations and most importantly, his own children. His approach is direct and positive, providing his students with the necessary patience and discipline to succeed. He believes that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and the jiu-jitsu community can benefit everyone into a healthier life style promoting sound mind, body and spirit.

Chris Liciandro's 'Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Club' offers several training time slots of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes for kids and adults.
